Saturday we had the day off. Dad went golfing with some of the players and a host dad. Mom took us to see Wall-E. It was a boring movie. These people in the movie were so fat they couldn't even walk and they lived in space. They then went back to Earth when they found a plant. We then went home to give Ty a nap. Then we went to Chilli's for dinner with dad. He shot a 80 on his round of golf and had fun.

Jack, Sorry you didn't enjoy Wall-E. We really liked that movie. I read an article in a Christian magazine that interviewed the writer/producer of it. He is a believer and he said that the reason the people in space were supposed to look like babies. With so much technology (cell phones, internet, video games, etc.) we have all become like babies who are totally taken care of--getting our needs met instantly--yet requiring no real effort on our part. Once those people on the spaceship came out of their technology trance (remember how they changed from blue to red when the computer screens were shut off) they put forth real effort to save the little plant. It wasn't a movie about obesity or global warming like many critics have said but a look at how technology has taken over our lives, made us less interactive with others, and reduced our interaction with God's creation.
Anyway, I thought you might like to hear his thoughts and purposes in writing the movie. I thought it was interesting, and true. He also wrote Finding Nemo!
Miss you guys!

oops! Typo. The reason they were fat was that they were supposed to look like babies.
I guess I need a proofreader!
